"Harbors Recyclery is a bicycle restoration program designed to benefit disadvantaged teenagers in Durham. Volunteer mentoring relationships are organized around a common goal of learning basic bicycle repair and maintentance skills. Participants receive a reconditioned bicycle, helmet, and safety instruction upon completion of various programs.

"Reconditioned child and adult bicycles are available at affordable prices--$15.00-$60.00 ("boutique exceptions")--on Fridays and Saturdays, 11:00AM to 5:00PM, at the Bat Cave, 540 & ½ Foster St., downtown Durham. Bicycles may be donated at the same location and time.

"With help from Duke Law School, Harbors Recyclery is currently working to set up non-profit status, and hopes to have tax deduction forms for donations in the near future."
