The Alcohol/Drug Council of North Carolina is a statewide agency that serves to educate the general public and elected officials about the treatable, preventable and chronic nature of addiction disease. ADCNC advocates on behalf of alcoholics and drug addicts, their families and the public with elected officials and policymakers. The Council also provides information and referral services through a toll-free number, 1-800-688-4232, for people seeking help for alcohol and/or drug addiction for them or someone else.
